What can I expect / how long is a Vine Gogh event? At a Vine Gogh event, you can expect a fun class in a judgment-free zone. You have the freedom to follow the directions precisely or unleash your creativity to craft your unique piece of art. We have an in-house bar with wine, beer, seltzer, mimosas, water and sodas to fuel your art adventure! We do take 1 to 2 breaks during the class (usually about 10 minutes each) to allow the paint to dry and the painter to stretch out and step away from the canvas! Most classes are between 2 to 2.5 hours.
-
Can I bring outside drinks to Vine Gogh events? No, Vine Gogh is not a BYOB establishment, and bringing outside drinks is against OLCC regulations. We offer an in-house bar with a selection of wine, beer, mimosas, seltzer, water, and sodas available for purchase.
-
Do you offer kids events? At this time, Vine Gogh does not offer kid's events or parties. We do recommend Sherwood Center for the Arts just down the block, as they have lots of art classes available for kids!
-
Do you offer private events?Vine Gogh will offer ages 18+ private events if the time and space is available. We do not do in-home parties or kids parties but we can recommend another studio who can do this. We can be available for corporate events if the schedule allows. Please contact info@vinegogh.com for pricing and availablilty.
-
Do you have food available? While we sell theater popcorn (made in house with our machine!), candy and chips, if you are looking for a more substantial meal we have several restaurants / pubs right on our block! We recommend Fat Milos, Clancy's, Symposium, 503 Uncorked and Araceli's Cocina, right within walking distance of us.

What is STAR Society?STAR Society (Sherwood Theatre & Arts Resource Society) is a non-profit that was founded in 2023, together with Vine Gogh owners Jenny and Paul, and their friends Pamela, Nicole and Risa. It is a beautiful 113-year old historic space on an upper level with a theater / ballroom and bar. We have set this space up to offer theater shows, arts and crafts / Vine Gogh events, dance / karoake events, poetry and Shakespeare clubs and more. Learn more at sherwoodstarsociety.com
-
Where else do you teach public events?Vine Gogh is happy to host regular events at Sherwood Center for the Arts, located just a couple blocks down from our regular space (STAR Society). These events are ADA accessible with food and drinks available for purchase during the event (through Cooper Mtn. Brewing). Learn more at https://sherwoodcenterforthearts.org/
-

-
Do you still have a studio in Sellwood? We closed up our last studio (Sellwood) during the COVID 19 Pandemic, as our lease was up and we were unsure of the future in regards to having an events business during COVID. We have lived in Sherwood since 2003 so it felt very natural to teach events 5 minutes from home!
-
Why don't you have a phone number to call?Well, the honest answer is we're just a small husband/wife operation and Vine Gogh is one of three businesses we own, so we don't have a lot of time to take calls! But, we get notifications and are quick to answer questions that come in via the chat feature on our website, so please try there!
-
Is your space ADA Accessible? The STAR Society space is a 113-year-old historic space that is located up an indoor flight of 24 stairs with NO lift, so it is not ADA Accessible at this point. As a non-profit we have applied for several grants that will allow us to put in a lift, and we are keeping our fingers crossed! If you are looking for a Vine Gogh event in an ADA accessible space, we recommend checking out https://sherwoodcenterforthearts.org/ as we teach there on a regular basis.
-
What is your refund policy at Vine Gogh?Refunds are not available unless Vine Gogh cancels the event due to unforeseen circumstances such as weather or low-signups, in which we will contact those who are signed up. If you can't attend, we can offer credit towards a future class as long as we are notified via email info@vinegogh.com 48 hours prior to the event. If you are a no show you will forfeit your ticket payment without the possibility of a refund.
-
The event is sold out, can you squeeze my friend in?Our in-studio event / table / easel layout is set up for exactly 12 people, so we do not add more than that for events. We would be happy to add your friend to a wait list, however!

Where are you located?Vine Gogh's home base is in Sherwood, Oregon, right in the old town area. We are located inside Sherwood Theatre & Arts Resource Society (STAR Society) which is an art & theatre non-profit we helped form. Our address is 22520 SW Washington Street, Sherwood, OR. Our building is beautiful and old, (113 years) and has stairs to access. We are working on applying for grants to install a lift to allow everyone in. If you wish to take a Vine Gogh class in an ADA facility, check out the Sherwood Center for the Arts, where we teach regularly: https://sherwoodcenterforthearts.org/
