We at Vine Gogh are excited to welcome back our beloved Paint & Sip nights. After a long hiatus, it brings us (Paul and Jenny) great joy to announce our return to hosting these events filled with merriment, art, and, of course, liquid courage! Founded in 2011, Vine Gogh offered sip and paint events in the Portland and Tigard areas until taking a break when the COVID pandemic hit, which timed up with our lease renewal. Unsure of what lay ahead with the pandemic, we opted to not renew our lease, and let the wind take us in different directions for a while. During this time, we discovered that we were a bit burned out and needed a break.
Over the next three years, we realized that we missed the fun and camaraderie we had with our students, and we really missed our long-time friends we had made at Vine Gogh! Paint & Sip events are pretty magical. It's not just about painting; it's about creating memories and connecting with like-minded individuals who share a love for the creative process. It's also very healthy to get out among others, make new friends and have some art therapy!
Whether you are a seasoned artist or a beginner dipping your brush into the world of painting for the first time, our Paint & Sip nights cater to all skill levels.
The success of a Paint & Sip night lies not only in the art but also in the experience. From the moment you step through the doors of our beautiful loft space, you are greeted with a warm ambiance and great music that sets the perfect stage for a night of creativity and fun. Our talented artists are not just instructors; they are storytellers who guide you through the artistic process while encouraging you to unleash your creativity.

Sherwood Theatre and Arts Resource Society:
In 2023 Paul and Jenny helped found a non-profit in Sherwood, The STAR Society. This beautiful 113-year-old space is located upstairs, and features a warm brick interior, two walls of windows for perfect lighting, and shiny fir floors. It has a stage, a bar (The Robin's Nest) and we have regular musicals, shows and art events in the space. We just finished our remodel and it is the perfect location for hosting Vine Gogh events. The downside of an older building is that an elevator or lift was never put into the space. We have been applying for grants through the non-profit to change that. For those with mobility issues, we offer regular classes at the ADA accessible Sherwood Center for the Arts, two blocks away. These start up again in September. https://www.sherwoodcenterforthearts.org/general/page/fall-2024-vine-gogh-paint-nights
So, to all the wine and paint enthusiasts out there, join us as we raise our glasses to a colorful comeback. Let's rediscover the joy of painting, the pleasure of sipping fine wine, and the beauty of creating art in the company of kindred spirits. Our art bar awaits, ready to host you for an evening of creativity, laughter, and heartwarming memories.
Cheers to new beginnings, to artistic endeavors, and to the vibrant journey that awaits us at Vine Gogh!
Remember, life is an art – paint it with passion and sip it with joy! 🍷🎨🖌️
